The Danes Hall of Waupaca believes in its long tradition of being a gathering place for socializing and learning.  Here are our policies regarding use of our building for classes involving instruction.

  1. The proposed class must be pre-approved by the Danes Hall Business Manager (DHBM).  The DHBM has the right to deny any class for any reason.  Please email proposals to daneshall@yahoo.com or complete and submit the form below.  Classes are considered approved once both parties sign an agreement.

  2. The class instructor or their designee (CIoD) will provide all information, materials, table covers, marketing, determine the cost, collect payments, etc. needed to teach the offered class.

  3. The CIoD will encourage class participants to eat dinner in the Granite Cellar before or after the class and get drinks from the Granite Cellar before, during, and/or after class.

  4. A Danes Hall representative (DHR) will share the marketing material on the Waupaca Danes Hall and Granite Cellar Facebook pages and the Granite Cellar in house slide show.

  5. The CIoD will use Edwardian script when writing “Danes Hall of Waupaca” and playlist script when writing “Granite Cellar” on marketing materials when possible.

  6. If the class is held during Granite Cellar regular hours (4pm – 9pm) Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday on the Main Level, there will be no charge for the class from the Danes Hall.  If the class is held outside of that time, price of the rental will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

  7. Each CIoD will be only allowed up to one class per month to allow for a variety of classes and instructors to utilize the Danes Hall of Waupaca.

  8. No other event may be going at the Danes Hall the day of the class.  The DHBM will do her best to keep the calendar updated at https://www.daneshallwaupaca.com/events to communicate when dates are available, but the CIoD still must contact DHBM for approval.

  9. In the event of a cancelation by the CIoD, it is their responsibility to refund all monies to the participants.

  10. The Danes Hall of Waupaca maintains the right the close the building due inclement weather or other cases of emergency.  A Danes Hall representative will contact the CIoD as soon as possible when a decision has been made to close the building.

  11. The Loading Zone can be accessed by driving from Washington St to Washington Ct.  It is illegal park your vehicle(s) on the north side of Granite St next to our building for any duration of time.  As soon as you are done unloading/loading, please move your vehicle(s) to the parking lot located at the corner of Granite St and Washington St.  A map is available upon request.  Propping doors open is not allowed at any time as this allows unwelcome insects and rodents to enter, as well as, does not allow our HVAC system to properly heat or cool our 9000 square foot building.  A cart is available upon request.

  12. Due to the historic nature of the building, tape and adhesives must not be use on any painted wall, antique furniture, or wooden floors.  NO pins, tacks, nails, or other puncturing devices are allowed in walls, floors, or furniture.  No open flames, propane tanks, or fireworks allowed inside the building.  No fog, bubble, or other machines that release particles into the air are allowed inside the Danes Hall.  No coolers may be brought in, but the Danes Hall can provide one with ice.

  13. The Danes Hall of Waupaca maintains the right to change these policies at any time.
