The Historic
Danes Hall of Waupaca
Where History and Hospitality Meet
Christmas Time at Danes Hall

If visiting the Danes Hall of Waupaca during the holidays isn't part of your annual tradition, you need to start this year and make it one. It becomes a truly magical place.
The entire downtown of Waupaca feels like a Hallmark movie the 1st Thursday - Sunday in December during its annual Yuletide Trail Celebration. Please click here to see all that is planned for this year. Keep scrolling to see all the events happening in our building.
New to our holiday celebration for 2025 is our Gingerbread House Competition.

Soon after Halloween, we begin the process of taking our Christmas trees and decorations out of storage. The decorating of the ten indoor trees and all the street level windows takes us about a week. All of our trees have a theme and most of them are put in spinning tree stands, so you are able to enjoy every angle.
Annual events during the holiday season include:
-
Foundations for Living Gala - 2nd Saturday in November - ticket required
-
Deer Widow's Weekend Open House - 1st Saturday of Wisconsin's Gun Hunt
-
Yuletide Celebration Parade and Community Tree Lighting - 1st Thursday in December
-
Children's Christmas Party and Yuletide Trail Cookie Walk - 1st Saturday in December
Guests are welcome to come in and see the building during Granite Cellar hours - Tuesday - Thursday 4pm - 9pm and Friday - Saturday 4pm - 10pm. Guests are encouraged to use the Main and Granite Cellar Levels during those hours to celebrate the season.
If you or your business is interested in hosting a private party, please contact us. You can find our rates here.

Please visit the community tree and take photos. We make an effort to change the lighting daily. You are also welcome to take photos of our indoor trees during regular business hours. Unfortunately, our trees cannot be moved during the season.

When coming to take photos with the Community Tree, please be safe and do not walk or climb on the rocks.
We suggest getting Main Street in the background.

Don't miss your photo op with Santa during our Annual Children's Christmas Party on the 1st Saturday of December from 12pm - 2pm.

We also set up a photo spot with a banner with the year for you to document your visit through the years.
