Do you have what it takes to win a mixology competition? Find out by entering STRAINED.
The Danes Hall of Waupaca is seeking mixologist contestants for our mixology competition “Strained”.
Similar to “Chopped” for chefs, each contestant will compete in three rounds to create a drink from mystery box ingredients within a time limit. They must make four servings and incorporate the box ingredients into their drink. After each round, a contestant will be strained/eliminated.
The competition will take place in the Danes Hall Ballroom in front of judges and an audience on Thursday evenings, starting on 02.05.26 at 6pm. The number of applications to be a contestant, will determine how many weeks the competition will last.
Entry fee is $25. Each week’s winner will win $50. The other $50 received in entry fees will go to the pot for “the winner of the winners” round. If there is only 1 week of competition the winner will receive $100.
Each contestant will be given a table for work space. Tools and ingredients will be made available for contestants to use.
Contestants may bring their own tools, but may not bring any additional ingredients.
